This guide is designed to help you set up and succeed with dropshipping using DSers and Big Cartel. It’s built for shop owners who want to grow their business without managing inventory. We’ll walk you through setup, workflows, customer communication, and tips from other sellers.
Dropshipping with DSers is available for Platinum and Diamond plan users only. If you’re currently on a Gold plan, you’ll need to upgrade to access this integration.
How Dropshipping Works on Big Cartel
Here’s the basic flow:
Import products from AliExpress or Temu using DSers.
A customer places an order in your Big Cartel shop.
That order appears in your DSers dashboard.
You place the order with the supplier through DSers.
The supplier ships it directly to your customer.
Tracking info is added to your Big Cartel order automatically.
Your customer gets an email with tracking from AliExpress or Temu.
Quick Setup
You’ll need:
A Big Cartel shop on a Platinum or Diamond plan
A DSers account (free plan is fine to start)
Steps:
In Big Cartel: Apps > Sales Channels > DSers > Add to Your Shop.
Follow the prompts to connect your DSers account.
In DSers, set up your pricing rules (e.g. 2x markup, include shipping).
Start importing products from AliExpress or Temu.

Managing Customer Expectations
Clear communication = fewer headaches. Here’s what works:
Shipping & Delivery
Set realistic expectations (often 2–4 weeks).
Add a Shipping Policy page that mentions overseas shipping.
Let buyers know they’ll receive tracking emails directly from the supplier.
Tracking Questions
Ask customers to check their spam folder for tracking emails.
You can resend tracking info from Big Cartel if needed.
Returns & Refunds
Set a fair return policy, and post it clearly.
Define who pays for return shipping (you or the buyer).
If something goes wrong, work with the supplier—but be ready to refund the buyer to keep trust.
Tips from Sellers Like You
Q: Should I mention AliExpress or Temu in product listings?
A: Not in the product description. Mentioning the supplier name may prompt some customers to search for the product directly on AliExpress or Temu. Instead, mention shipping timeframes and fulfillment location in your policy page.
Q: How many products should I launch with?
A: Start with 10–30 to keep things manageable. It’s okay to test and swap items based on performance.
Q: How often should I check DSers?
A: Once daily is enough in most cases. More often if you’re getting steady orders
