Logo and color guide

Big Cartel (not BigCartel or bigcartel or Bigcartel) is where indie entrepreneurs take the leap. Here you'll find tips on how you can help us keep our brand identity unified and consistent.

Logo usage:

Our logo is made up of bold typography, inspired by editorial mastheads, and a hand-illustrated icon that represents the creativity of our seller community.

When we are unable to use the horizontal version of our logo, or whenever the layout calls for it, we use our stacked logo.

Both logos need clear space to ensure visibility and impact. This space always must be clear around our logo. X = The height of our icon.

This rule also applied to the stacked version of our logo.

The following color combinations are recommended when using our logo. Color hex codes can also be found in our downloadable asset kit at the bottom of the page.

Our Icon, aka The Fletch:

Nicknamed "the Fletch", in reference to the fletching of an arrow, our icon represents the forward progress of our sellers.

The Fletch needs clear space to ensure visibility and impact. The space must always be clear around our it. X = The height of The Fletch.

Partnership lockups:

When pairing our logo or icon with a partners logo, optically center the two so both have equal weight. We use our "X" device to link them both. The clear space between is equal to the width of the X device. We can align them by capital letter height to help the balance, as seen in the examples above.

Logo partnerships and color:

When using our logo with partners, always use black or white. As our colors are core to our brand they should never interact with other brand marks.
