How to Get Started

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Navigate to Sales Channels:

    • Go to your Big Cartel account page.

    • Select "Sales Channels".

    • Choose "Google Shopping".

    • Click on "Google Shopping" to open its app page.

    • The app page includes setup instructions, integration details, and resource links.

  3. Set Up Google Shopping:

    • Click "Get Started" if you're on a paid plan, or "Upgrade" if you're on a free plan.

    • Follow the connection wizard for authorization, account selection/creation, domain verification, and data feed attachment.

Disconnecting your shop from Google Shopping

If you decide you no longer want to use the Google Shopping integration, click the disconnect button on your management page. This will revoke Big Cartel’s access to your Google account and disconnect your product feed, but it will not delete your Google Merchant account.

If you used an account you had created previously, you can delete the account from your Google Merchant admin. If you created the account with Big Cartel, please contact our support team if you wish to fully delete the account.

Troubleshooting Tips

In order for your products to be shown on Google Shopping, a few requirements must be met. If your products aren’t showing up, make sure that the following

  • Site Status: Make sure your site is live and not in maintenance mode.

  • Payment Method: You must have a payment method (Stripe or PayPal) connected and active. Check to make sure your payment account is in good standing if you are seeing any issues related to checkout.

  • Refund Policy: Ensure your refund policy is visible on your site and matches the one in on your Google Merchant account.

  • Product Feed: If your product feed has been removed from your Google Merchant account somehow, a link to reconnect will be available on your Google Shopping management page. Just click it once to reconnect.

  • Active and In Stock Products: Your products must be in stock and have an active status to appear on Google Shopping.
