Venmo

For sellers in the U.S., connecting PayPal to your Big Cartel store automatically enables Venmo as a payment option for customers. Buyers who have the Venmo app installed on their mobile devices will see this option at checkout. If an eligible buyer is purchasing from a desktop, they'll see a Venmo QR code that they can scan to complete the purchase on their mobile device.

Heads up! Venmo will only be available for domestic U.S. orders with the currency set to USD.

Setup

1. Head to the Account area of your Big Cartel admin.

2. Click Edit your payment options, and click Connect next to PayPal.

3. Follow the steps on screen to log in and authorize your PayPal account to be used with Big Cartel to accept payments. That's it!

A verified PayPal Business account is required to accept payments with PayPal Commerce Platform. You can check your account status (and upgrade if necessary) over at PayPal's website.

Payments

• Payments placed through Venmo should hit your PayPal account balance right away. From there you can transfer funds to your linked bank account.

• Transferring funds from PayPal to your bank should take about 1 business day. Learn more here.
